Texas Foreclosure Rates at a Low

Good news for homeowners in northern Texas: foreclosure rates were the lowest they have been in three years.

According to one service, the Dallas-Fort Worth area saw 56,358 foreclosures posted over the past twelve months. While this figure is high, it represents a 12 percent decrease from the previous twelve months. So far this year, all four counties in the Dallas-Fort Worth area have shown declines in foreclosure listings for residential properties.

Of those, Dallas County showed the greatest decline at 14 percent.

If you are in danger of losing your home to foreclosure, you need to act quickly. Contact the Malaise Law Firm now to speak with a Houston bankruptcy lawyer about your case. It is possible to stall the foreclosure temporarily, if not permanently, by filing for bankruptcy. However, you will need to file for bankruptcy as soon as possible before the bank gains enough traction to sell your home.
