Financial Guru Files Chapter 7
The man who once referred to himself as a "troubleshooter" clearly did not take his own advice regarding finances.
Last week, the advice guru filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, listing a serious amount of debt. While he does have $1.37 million in assets, the man managed to rack up nearly $78 million in debts to a variety of creditors. While that figure is high, he is already contesting it by stating that his debts are actually closer to $36 million.
The man who once gave financial advice to listeners on the radio found himself unable to make a deal with one of his creditors. As a result, he was forced to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Had he been able to work out a compromise, the man said he believes he could have avoided bankruptcy altogether. When asked where the trouble began, the financial expert spoke about real estate investments that went awry.
